I finally got to make the app work by reinstalling it and actually taking off and on again the memories, but when i tested turning the pc off and on again, it all started to happen again. Checking online, i found out it was a pretty common issue and found some possible solutions, which partially worked: the app actually launched but it recognized only 1 module, while the othee was displaying the default effect and couldn't be changed. I rebooted the PC and tried again, but the problem persisted. I thought maybe i screwed up when configuring the effects so tried to set them back to what i wanted, bit the G.Skill app wouldn't open (it said there were no G.Skill memories detected, despite the task manager showing the 16 Gb). I carefully installed them, checked they were properly recognized by my PC and installed the G.Skill TridentZ RGB app (latest version of course) and everything seemed to be just fine at that moment.Īfter having shut down the PC for a couple of hours, i turned it on again and, to my surprise, one of the modules' LEDs had went dark and the other modules' LEDs were displaying the default rainbow effect (which i changed for a static red one). The memories arrived today (i live in Colombia so had to have them shipped here from the US) and i was super excited about them.
